Improving people´s lives in Bolivia since 2011
Fundación Boliviana para el Desarrollo Social (FUNDESOC) is an independent, non-profit organization based in Santa Cruz, whose mission is to improve the quality of life of underprivileged Bolivians, through the design, implementation and evaluation of community development projects.
Since 2011, FUNDESOC has contributed directly to the well-being and future opportunities of more than 45,000 men, women, adolescents and children in 184 rural communities, 177 urban neighborhoods in 27 Municipalities of 6 Departments of Bolivia through 2 main programs:
- Integral Development of Children & Youth
- Sustainable Development & the Environment
FUNDESOC works to transform the lives of Bolivian families through the following key operational strategies:
- Training: Strengthening the skills & knowledge of men, women & children in priority areas, using participatory, hands-on, training methods (“Learning by doing”). This empowers people of all ages to promote their own development process.
- Participation: Promoting active community participation in all stages of project development, from design to implementation & evaluation.
- Partnerships: Collaborating with public and private organizations to increase project impact & sustainability.
- Inputs & infrastructure: Facilitating inputs, equipment and basic infrastructure, training in operation & maintenance, for basic services & productive activities.
The FUNDESOC team is made up of a diverse group of highly committed professionals who are experts in different areas, including education specialists, social workers, agronomists, civil engineers, administration staff & volunteers, according to specific Project requirements.
FUNDESOC seeks to constantly innovate & improve the quality & impact of its projects & the efficiency of project management processes, keeping astride of changes in society & technology.
FUNDESOC also seeks to develop partnerships with other people & organizations that share with us the ideal of making this world a better place.
